It's strange to me that he put off surgery to help this team make a run, showing that he's engaged with the team and here for the long run. But for some reason in this series he looked so uninterested and lacking intensity. I don't get how those two pieces fit together here. Was he just exhausted from battling Zach?
Didn't Houston "own" us last year in the regular season? Didn't we "own" San Antonio last year in the regular season?
That would only make sense if he only looked checked out at the ends of games. But he was a no-show from the get-go of each and ever game. And left the team so he could fly home on his own.
Teams lined up fro Joe Johnson, Amare and DWill too. There are a LOT of dumb GMs looking to make a splash to save their jobs in the short term.
I hope some of you guys get your wish and Lamarcus leaves so you can see how fun it is again to go 30-52.
I'm more afraid of him taking a one year deal then cashing on the Super duper max which could mean we will be paying a 36 year old LA like 35+
I call BS. Neil is and continues to build this team. We're only a piece, health, and some good chemistry away from being a legitimate contender.
We wouldn't have been matched up with them until later in the playoffs when we would have been battle tested or they had been beat by someone else. Would have creamed DAL in the first round.
Max him out and hope to not get swept in round 1 or lose him and try to build a real offense centered on ball-movement and defense? I'll take the latter.
That's exactly what will happen. But I do it everytime. At 35 I dont think Aldridge is as good as he is right now, but he is a very skilled player that doesn't use his athleticism as much as some guys. I think he can still average 17 points 8 rebounds or so at that age
