On his show today OV playing with illegal curve on his stick and hopes the rangers are listening and check it out. Yesterday commented that zucc's injury something other than concussion and could be back in a week or 2. Hope he's right about zucc and if true about ov hope rangers challenge if he scores a goal. This series is where Glass will earn his money if he's going to do so.
Two weeks means he's basically done for this series. That's a big loss. With Klein back the team will need to play lights out defense and Nash has to do something offensively.
I really hope we don't go back to those days where we had players' stick curves measured during the game and slowed it down. That was pathetic NHL.
Yea 2 weeks and he's out for the series. I still think they can win. Glass and Sheppard have to come out hitting. This is a game where if Wilson or another cap thinks they're going throw bombed hit the gloves have to be dropped immediatly . AV needs to wake up and forget about this whistle to whistle bullshit. This team cannot afford to have anyone injured by a goon
Yeah, we should play after the whistle and give the # 1 PP in the NHL many chances. I agree. Let's play this like 1970's hockey.
Chuck don't be Chuck Lundqvist today. When a team is headhunting you need your tough players to put an end to it. Nobody said anything about 70s hockey. And theyre power play really wasn't even good against the isles. Nobody is saying take stupid penalties but don't let them crash Lundqvist and go headhunting
I see no upside to doing anything to try and prove how tough we are. Don't be a bunch of whimps out there, but no need to go over the top and try and get dirty just because they do something stupid. You want payback...score on the PP.
.....yea I think we all agree with that. Not sure where I said I want them to get dirty and prove how tough we are
Sorry, when you said enough with the whistle to whistle BS I took that to mean you wanted to play after the whistle and outside of the rules. My bad if I misunderstood.
It's not a big deal Chuck and I see what you mean. But like last series when guys were bumping Lundqvist, I'd like to see some retaliation but not stupid stuff that leads to penalties. I just have a feeling between Wilson throwing elbows and OV hitting from behind that someone can get hurt.
For the first two games, the Rangers just need to come out skating hard, and hitting even harder. Then they turn it up a notch in Washington ...
