This is so true. So many Blazers fans would rather draft picks to stroke themselves to while dreaming about "potential" instead of an actual good team on the verge of contending. Too many posters would rather have a crappy team with new players so they have something to talk about or can play Fantasy GM with the trade machine while the team is winning 30 games.
I trust his judgment, but I also understand that whatever happens this off season probably defines this team for the next 3-4 years. Olshey has gotten by the last two years making small but calculated moves. This year will test his mettle.
Possibly, but that would depend on what the Grizzlies, Clippers, Thunder and Spurs do this summer as well. I think when everyone is fully healthy I'd rank it: Spurs Thunder Warriors Grizzlies Blazers Clippers Rockets Pelicans
This summer is either going to be one of the best summers for discussion boards.... or the final straw where I hang up my discussion board hat permanently.
Did you watch the TNT broadcast? Bones made a comment/analogy about the painter dude in your avatar. Something about every day painting is a good day. Not that it has anything to do with anything, and I don't remember the context, but it just reminded me of you.
Im not sold that Lillard is a franchise player. All Star? Yes. Potential leader? Yes. But to build around him? mmm I think he needs a superstar big to stand with him. I don't think he can do it on his own with a bunch of well fit roll players around him...As much as I love the guy.
I just got a notification saying Dame's contract extension would only be 5/90. That would be glorious
