Seriously. I don't think exhaustion was his problem. None of the starters played well in the series overall, I think the reason is Memphis.

But I'd still like Stotts to play his starters less minutes during the regular season.

Re: Aldridge, I'm liking these quotes. "Of course I wouldn't want it to end." Well if he doesn't want it to end that that's. Because the Blazers sure don't want it to end.

Aside from Damian being a little too caught up in the consecutive-game streak to his own detriment, everyone seems to be saying the right things.

I was really happy to hear about Meyers working with Kaman. I can't remember what game it was late in the season, but Leonard got the ball in the low post and did a series of Kamanesque fakes. I wondered if Kaman was working with him or if it was something he just picked up ... I kind of think Leonard is a bit of a basketball savant, who can just watch things and do them, but doesn't have a natural feel for how to play.

Yeah, it's kind of like up to him whether it ends or not, because I can't see any circumstances under which the Blazers don't offer him a max deal. Heck, in four years, with the money coming in and the likely raising of the salary cap, Portland might be getting a bargain.

I'm tripping balls right now and it sure seems like Aldridge is staying. Nothing to see here

Given the growth of Meyers and CJ, plus the probability of a quality MLE vet signing over the summer, I don't see any problem in giving the starters a little more rest.

Michael Jordan made it a priority to play 100% effort 82 games a year and then playoffs. He even took preseason seriously.

Which is all good ... if you are Michael Jordan and your body doesn't break down under that.

It's also all good if he learns from and grows with the experience.

Coached PR fluff from his agent.

Wait intil July 1st when he's interviewed by a National writer.

Quicker said every player took part in this except one player: Aaron Afflalo.

Chris did more for Meyers than Kim Hughes could in three years. I want to keep him as an assistant big-man coach as long as possibl.

Was that his exit interview or his playoff performance?

Man oh man, imagine Meyers' outside shooting and jump hooks combined with Kaman's nifty footwork in the post. They seem to get along really well, so hopefully that mentorship can last a few more years.
