its hard to keep up with posts in this thread. it goes so fast.jarred jeffries said he wasnt fighting because they blew them out and kept their starters on.. he said its because he wanted to protect his teammates. dumbas nate and isiah.
I just heard on ESPN that Isiah Thomas gave Carmelo Anthony a warning not to go into the paint a few minutes before the fight happened. Was the flagrant foul on purpose?<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>you know what, I really think isiah sent collins out there on a mission to be quite honest. I never saw isiah play because I was like 5 but so many people say that he was a dirty player. bad boys ring a bell? I think he sent collins out there to make a point to the team. that may sound stupid to some of you but I think he wanted a guy who he knew was a good defender as well as a tough minded player. isiah has been quoted without hesitation that collins is their best defender. anyway, my point is I think he wanted the knicks to be aggressive. he wanted them to not back down from anyone. I don't think this was the right way to do that though but isiah might've thought different.</div>It's tough to tell, You may be right.

I mean isiah warning melo not to go in the paint is proof that isiah told collins to do that.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>jarred jeffries said he wasnt fighting because they blew them out and kept their starters on.. he said its because he wanted to protect his teammates. dumbas nate and isiah.</div>well the knicks need a guy that sticks out for his teammates. they need leadership. that's why they show flashes of how good they can be and then have games where they stink it up like tonight. if they had a leader they would finish out games and win at home.

He got himself in to the situation, and the NBA regards a person who was trying to help part of the problem and equal to those who were involved.2. He got a solid punch down AFTER the problem was already calming down - he started something bigger.Just for the first offense he'll probably recieve like 4 games; the second will probably be like 8 or something.David Stern isn't going to take this stuff - he is probably so disgusted right now because all the 'progress' that he's made since the Palace brawl has just been demolished by some stupid young players. Stern isn't going to take this lightly.I predict for Carmelo at least a 12-13 suspension.

Jered Jeffries is no leader on the court, but I think he handeld the fight well for someoen that was actually using violence. if that makes sense..

If Albert Haynesworth got a five game suspension for kicking a guy in the face...Sure, it's a different percentage of the season, but you can't suspend a guy for a month just for being reactionary and out of line.

This is just crazy... I watched and talked about this for hours just crazy. Carmelo will be out atleast 10 games most likely more.
