A Pennsylvania mother accused of throwing her 1-year-old son into a river before jumping from a bridge herself has been charged with attempted homicide.

Rescuers pulled Johnesha Monae Perry and her son from the Lehigh River in Allentown on Sunday afternoon.

The 19-year-old Perry is charged with one count each of attempted homicide and endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of aggravated assault. She was arraigned from her hospital bed.

She's being held in lieu of $100,000 bail pending a May 11 preliminary hearing.
