That's what happens with this lack of scoring folks. Can't keep not finishing game after game after game.
dominating play but can't score if you don't shoot. St. Louis is a human giveaway when matched down low with anyone. And even with that a friggin fluke goal by the caps.
Plenty of chances but they simply don't finish. No margin for error and now you get burned by some bad luck.
I don't get the people that want to get on others yet blindly ignore the play of somebody who supposed to be one of our top players. He's had his head up his ass all year and is playing soft compared to the likes of Girardi and Staal. Then on top of that he won't shoot.
This team just falls back to the Torts era when it comes to scoring in the playoffs. Trying to win every game by a goal just isn't going to work through several rounds.
The Zucc injury sucks but they can't use that as an excuse. There's enough talent here to get the job done. Unfortunately, once again you have Nash not scoring and St. Louis isn't adding anything offensively. They're not the only ones but eventually you need results.
How many times have we seen #61 take weak shots from the boards... Meanwhile #8 seems to split the defense down the middle
