<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Very intelligent action movie, about two Irish brothers who kill 'sinners' to punish them. The movie is a bit different from the typical action movie, as it doesn't have car-chases or explosions. The action consists of stylish shooting sprees. It also has a fairly original idea that is utilized in nearly every action scene in the movie, and that should be used more often in action films; first you see the aftermath, the crime-scene, the police investigating, counting bodies, etc. After/as the police come up with theories to the crime, we see the actual scene, of the brothers punishing criminals. It's a different kind of vigilante movie. It's particularly gory and bloody, but this just makes it all the more realistic. In real life, there is a significant amount of blood when someone is shot in the head. The movie has some Christian subtexts, I think I've heard about five major theories about the whole movie's meaning. This shows, in my opinion, that there was obviously a lot of thought put into the movie. I'd recommend it to anyone who can stand the gore, even if they aren't Christians. 10/10</div>I read this review and I think it sums it up very well. I just bought the movie and watched it. It's in my top 5. Very original and slick. I remember Rok talking about how good it was and I thought I'd give it a shot. Everyone should see this movie. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>After a limited theatrical release, the film was in only five theaters for one week,[1] and poor reviews; the movie proved divisive among some viewers. The film developed a cult following,[2] mostly due to the efforts of Blockbuster Video who made the film a "Blockbuster Exclusive", as well as enmity, from fans and critics who have called it a film undeserving of cult status. [3][4] Roger Ebert of the Chicago Sun-Times, writes in his review of Overnight that The Boondock Saints has become a "cult favorite on DVD".[5] The ending credit sequence was shot by Mark Brian Smith co-director of Overnight, which is a documentary film about the making of The Boondock Saints, and Troy Duffy himself.[6] A sequel for the film was originally planned to be released in 2005, though it has yet to materialize due to legal</div><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>In 1996 while living in Hollywood, California Duffy came home from his job to find a dead woman getting wheeled out of drug dealer's apartment across the hall. Duffy rented a computer and wrote the screenplay about The Boondock Saints based on his disgust in what he saw."I decided right there that out of sheer frustration and not being able to afford a psychologist, I was going to write this, think about it. People watching the news sometimes get so disgusted by what they see. Susan Smith drowning her kids . . . guys going into McDonald's, lighting up the whole place. You hear things that disgust you so much that even if you're Mother Teresa, there comes a breaking point. One day you're gonna watch the news and you're gonna say, "Whoever did that despicable thing should pay with their life."[7]</div> - wikipedia....

This was a great movie, that irish dude in the bar that kept getting the phrases wrong was funny as hell. With that being said, what do you guys think of something like that in real life. Is it ok for two guys to run around and kill the "bad people" like those two do?

I don't know what my opinion is on it (like what they did at the end of the movie).
