Now wait didn't people bash torts for changing the lines.. Now this coach is bashed for keeping consistent lines?
I don't know 94, guy has coached his team to the SCF twice. I don't like some of the player decisions on the PP, but AV has done a real good job here. I get on the players way more. Nash and Yandle and MSL and Boyle mainly.
You know what is kind of sad, I am really not even upset that the season may be pretty much done in 4 minutes. When you score no goals seems like a waste to get worked up. What's the point.
The Rangers got scouted. Lets face it. They got lucky to get rid of the Pens in five being that every win was 2-1. Washington who is better than the Pens have taken the blue print and done a much better job. Big teams clog up the middle and take away the speed game and the homerun pass. The Rangers don't seem to have any ability to adapt and change up their game to produce better results.
i'm happy with what AV has done in NY. It's a shame some of the players take such a dump in the playoffs.
Dont you give up on my rangers! Last year lost games 3-0 and 2-0 to Pittsburgh... They were written off then.... Dont do it!
Yeah, throw him in also if for no other reason than the potential winning goal tonight. That was a terrible play. But at day's end if we score ONE goal again I can't get on the D or goalie, we just do not score.
I'm not surprised. Until they can add size and guys who can score in the playoffs they aren't winning anything... Last year's team was bigger, grittier, hungrier
It is amazing that outside of Brassard and maybe Hags not a single player had anything on offense. The Dmen have been as horrible as Nash offensively. It's incredible. If they lose the series which looks kinda likely now this team has major changes coming. Holy by looks like '86 Roy. So did Fleury
This is what I'm saying. We've been scouted and teams are stopping what we do best. But instead of changing it up, we keep Rolling out the same blueprint and same awful line combos expecting something to change.
If they don't win tonight you watch game 5 (and maybe game 6 if needed) and of course root like heck to win and make a big comeback, but with the way this team cannot score AND the way the Caps are a very good team (better than the Pens last season), it is HIGHLY unlikely they win 3 straight. They need to score 3 a game to win 3 straight, and it is hard to see that happening. So no give up at all, but sometimes you need to be honest and realistic.
How did they make the SCF last season? Sorry but I don't buy all this clog the middle and we don't adjust stuff. We have not played well since the playoffs have started, and we cannot score. That simple to me.
