Trade Batum to the Celtics for Gerald Wallace and picks, as in their 1st rounder and an additional future 1st or 2?

kind of pushes LMA closer out the door I'd think. Not all that interested in a mid round pick for Nic really.

Yeah I think a lot of that depends on how Lamarcus feels about Nic. Maybe Lamarcus like us wishes Nic would play harder. Boston holds a handful of other picks that are enticing as well, non super glorious, but what is Nics worth. Wallace is a 15th man at best.

only if LMA leaves and you are doing a rebuild, I personally think Nic is unlikely to re-sign with the Blazers when he is a UFA after next season so I'd like to trade him for value (not capspace) this summer especially if LMA leaves

Nic is worth way more than that... Nic for Bradley and 16 is more fair.

What would be funny is if we got a couple of those picks the Nets owe Boston for taking on Wallace... Then those turn into decent picks as Brooklyn tumbles... Then We cold say we stung them not once but twice for Gerald Wallace.

I really think the draft should be after free agency, like on July 25th or something. Yes I'd do this type of deal if we lost LaMarcus and were forced into rebuilding. But no I wouldn't do it because I hope we bring basically everyone back; don't have to overpay Wes, Rolo, AAA, and get a solid MLE free agent. Seems like there would just be a lot more player and draft day trades if teams knew who all their starters were. The draft is already one of the best basketball days but that would make it even better.

I might move Batum for Demare Carrol on the Hawks or Tony Allen on the Grizz but never for Crash...he needs to retire

    Ha thats funny.

Although seriously think of him as just a trade exception. The trade would be switching Batum for draft picks.

CF previously brought up a Hibbert-Batum swap. Two underachieving talented players. I'd take that deal.

You could then try to bring in someone like Wesley Johnson (not great) or Jared Dudley to play minutes at SF. And in spurts you could get away with Afflalo and Wes on the court at the same time.

Or you could then move Kamans contract and/or Rolo for a SF if a team is looking to shave some $$$ off the cap.

Wesley Johnson is actually a good under the radar player who can guard 1-3 and hit the occasional 3.

Why is it funny? He quit on us when he was getting old and just starting to slow down, now he's gotten old and slowed down quite a bit. If he never plays for us again, fine, bring him in and waive him. But as a player? Not even slightly interested.

I would in heart beat WTCS is an elite defender that would be the perfect pair to the 3 point shooting finesse Leonard provides.

WTCS not only changed his middle name to a hiphop slang word, he signed with Jay-Z's RocNation Sports Agency.

The only projected first-rounder to do so.
