    Not anymore. That bus in your pic is a 21 window microbus in great condition, worth between $75,000-125,000. I doubt many people in such a spendy ride will be stoned. Far more likely will be a 1994 Subaru with a sticker that cleverly states "world peas" and a driver side door in a non matching color.

    How well does that work? Can they tell the difference between someone who is high at that moment, was high four ours ago or got high the day prior.

    I think it's in the way they word the laws. Basically they're not charging you with driving whilst under the influence of said drug; they're charging you with driving whilst having said drug in your system.

    It's still a relatively new idea, so there's not a lot of info on it. From what I've gathered thc can only be successfully detected in saliva within around 4 hours of ingestion. Supposedly they are not very accurate and are easy to throw off.

    Generally though if a saliva test comes back positive (barring a false positive) the officer can be sure that the suspect is under the influence, where a urine or hair test would inform the officer that the suspect has been under the influence in the past.
