Wes Matthews: I expect to be ready in August

Did anyone else post that here? If he can really be back by August, that would be amazing and I'd give him a big contract to stay in Portland.

That would be ridiculous and not smart. That would mean only 5 months of recovery time? Sounds more like bravado to get a big contract.

 

I'd say Christmas Wes will be ready to test the waters. Knowing Wes it is just part of his rehab that makes him project that Iron Man is indestructible

 

I love Wes and his attitude, but that frankly sounds stupid to me because this injury needs TIME and coming back too early can have bad results. We'll see

Here's a good article about Kobe's recovery timeline from the same injury as Wes. It happened a month later than Wes's, but he wasn't back on the court til December. Wes is probably looking at the end of November at best.
