I think we need a new backup PG.

Guys like CJ Watson and JJ Barea would be good additions to backup Dame.

    Watson would be terrific.

Batum and Kaman for Hibbert and Watson. Prob not enough on Portland's in. Maybe throw in a pick.

If would be really neat if retweeters and tweet readers knew the difference between conjecture and a "rumor".

Watson's a free agent.. Might as well sign him. Would 1 year $3M be enough to get him? Cuz then we could use our room exception on him in the case where we don't bring everyone back

I would live to get Brandon Wright and CJ Watson off the bench. If Afflalo stays we could still afford them by signing Watson to the room exception
Watson-McCollum-Afflalo-Leonard-Wright would be a top 5 NBA bench

Jordan and Griffin are not leaving Clips if they make it to the WCFs. That's like saying Portland would trade Aldridge and Lopez if the Blazers make it to the WCFs. Understand how insane that logic is.

Once they get bounced in the WCF maybe they'll view LMA as the piece that would've gotten them to the finals. You never know. Some teams don't settle for almost good enough. Not saying they should or will but that's not "insane"

Yeah, that's complete nuts! That's like saying the Blazers get to the WCF and then trade away Jermaine O'Neal and Brian Grant. Oh, I guess only the Blazers could be that stupid.

And they were absolutely stupid for it. Surprisingly, the GM got fired the following year.

No, they weren't stupid. They went all in and traded two players who couldn't guard Shaq for the only guy in the league that could guard Shaq.

It turned out not to be enough, but at the time is really was the best possible option...

A ton of immediate cash savings for a franchise that was hemorrhaging money...

No, I don't think he has good PG skills, and he'd be too expensive.

What if LA has wanted out and the organization has known it. Let's say Olshey had some disagreements on how to manage the situation around CP3 in LAC, and that attributed to his departure. Then say Griffin comes here and Olshey executes his plan....

I would be on board for that situation, Griffin has looked killer in the playoffs, and his fast break game is something this team could really use. I bet this isn't the popular opinion, but I would absolutely go for a LA -> BG trade *If LA wants out.

We could certainly do a lot worse, and it mildly makes sense. But its also never going to happen...
