I think what this team sorely lacked, not just after Wesley went down, but also after Trob and Will were traded was a true hustle guy. Gee kinda plays that way but just never really fit with the lineup. I really hope that Olshey targets a hustle player in the offseason either via the draft or as a MLE. Someone to come off the bench and play with some scrap. I personally hope it's a PG, because I got tired of watching Blake tip toe through the tulips for 20 seconds every possession he was in.

I would think Gee would be interested in coming back and I would be fine with having him as the 12th to 13th man. But agreed, we need someone if not him.

I would have rather sent out TRob than Kaman. I was extremely disappointed in Kaman.

I would really like to see them go after a taller PG for off the bench, either Wright or Goerge Lucas De Paula , would fit that bill 6'5"+ long athletic PG's with very good defensive upside. Hollis-Jefferson as a SF would be good at #23 too. Again a very good defensive hustle guy,

Frazier is a little guy, and I have no idea if he's going to work out, but he was very active when he was here. Hell, he constantly scrapped for rebounds among the tall firs. I loved the guy.

I thought Gee would have been ideal for that role, but either Stotts doesn't value that or Gee had other issues with his game that they felt overshadowed being a good defender and an energy guy. I'd love to know what the reason was.

6'7" PF but with a crazy 8'11" reach -- insane length for someome who is only 6'6" w/o shoes. Very similar to Faried in terms of build.

    All hustle.

I'd tend to agree with that. Honestly, I wonder how much better CJ and Meyers could have been by the playoffs had we played them a little more in the regular season.

How dare you question the Afflalo trade.

Mods around here don't like that kind of nonsense.

Hustle players are a dime a dozen. You can find them everywhere cheap. I think a bigger missing piece is champions/deep playoff experienced vets. I hope this summer we can land a couple of those. Players like JJ Barea, Marco Belinelli, Tyson Chandler, Rashad Lewis, etc. We need some guys who have been to the top.

I think Delon Wright would be a solid get. I watch more pac 12 basketball than other conferences so I admit I am unfamiliar with a lot of other players around the country. But he does fill a need for the Blazers. He, Dame, and CJ could make a great 3 guard combo if Wes elected to move on. Add Crabbe in the mix and we are set for 6-7 years.

Delon is not without a weakness, but of all the weaknesses a player can have, "streaky outside shooting" is the easiest to get better at by putting up 1000 shots a day in the off season. His form looks good though.

The problem is moving ahead of Chicago who is projected to snatch him up at 22. He would be perfect for them as well. Hopefully enough good players will emerge (maybe form over seas) to push him down to us.
