    ...noticed it with both Chrome and Firefox.

    ...but I have so many extensions and add-ons, who knows. Adblock could be at fault.

    ...no, but I've read that they've supposedly made great strides. You know how much we can be creatures or habit and I was a loyal FF user for many years but Chrome just seems to run so much better since I turned to "the dark side" a couple of years ago. (Macbook)...and I don't care for Safari at all. Backing up my settings, contacts, extensions, etc., to Google servers just makes things simpler for me.

    Chrome uses a hell of a lot more RAM and can take up obscene amounts of space. Put it at the same usage levels as other browsers and you'll notice a difference.
