After surviving 20 million years, China's goddess of the river is driven to extinction http://news.independent.co.uk/environment/article2083841.ece Wow. It's not looking good. :no1:

Sad. Especially that no-one here is bothered that an entire species is killed off. No wonder the world is so F*cked!

Speaking of extinct species, this is my favorite from Australia, the capitol of the world in terms of extinct animals. So many species were killed off by the invasion of humans, rats, cats and rabbits...etc The Tazmanian Tiger was a cool animal, too bad it was killed off, it would probably thrive today.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thylacine
I dont give a crap about the stupid damn dolphin, but the problem is that human pollution and everything is going to start killing more and more species until it's us and f*cking insects.

BCB your slightly more knowlegeable than I gave you credit for. KUDOS</div> People always report seeing Tigers but nothing ever comes of it. They are 100% gone. It really sucks that so much was lost in Australia/New Zealand. In New Zealand there was pretty much no wildlife when I was there, no birds, no mammals...I was pretty dissapointed with that. At least in Australia I saw a lot of roo's and starlings...etc...Looking back at all the flightless birds and rodents and birds in general that were lost...it's amazing.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BrewCityBuck @ Dec 18 2006, 03:07 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Come on, nobody cares that this fat dolphin thing is extinct? Dissapointing...</div>I sure don't. This has been happening for billions of years. It's nothing new. Even if we were cavemen, we would cause the death of certain species. Hell, some species are only alive because we devote ridiculous amounts of resources trying to get these things to stay alive and mate. So yeah, I don't care. It's the damn dolphin's fault for not being better than us.
Honestly, I don't really care too much about animals, and extinction. It doesn't get to me if one species becomes extinct. I dont really care.

Extincting species must be chaos trying to keep the population from decreasing. I mean, what happened when there was only one of those fat dolphins left? Everyone must've been running around crazy.
