Kershaw won only his 2nd game last night. A 2-2 Record, with 4 No-Decisions. CK has a 4.40 ERA this year from his 44th Pitch to His 60th Pitch.......for His career prior, b/t that pitch count, His ERA was 1.75 in all previous career years..........WTF?

The Padres earlier this week, had their 1st rain delay in approx: 4 years.......

Stanton earlier in the week, was one of a few who have hit the ball out of Chavez Ravine; into the parking lot.......Follows up a few days later, with 2 bombs in Miami in 1 game, 1- 400 footer, and a 2nd- 474 foot bomb shot........Is it just me, or does this Kid Giancarlo remind anyone else a helluva lot like a young Micky Mantle????

MIggy's Mashing this year, as healthy as ever. His HR #399, ties Miguel with Galarraga for the most HR's hit by a Venezuelan born player, and we all know Miggy will have plenty more to come, and I wouldn't be surprised if He hits 600+ dingers....which He would have to average 25 HR's a year for the next 8 yrs. Which would give him 600 HR's b/t the age of 40-41......

    Trivia:
In 79 lifetime games, Roberto Clemente Hit .377 Lifetime in Dodger Stadium. The highest avg of any player to play in Chavez Ravine. Being signed by the Bums to a AAA Montreal Contract, imagine if Roberto had remained a Bum, what would his lifetime batting avg be? I doubt any better than

Joe DiMaggio in 127 games, hit for a Lifetime B'Avg of .389 in St. Louis Sportsman Park....

Babe Ruth hit .372 Lifetime in 173 games in Baltimore's League Park..II.....

Ruth hit .357 lifetime in 171 games in Shibe Park.....

Gehrig hit .380 in 151 games in Comiskey- .381 in 155 games in old Detroit Navin Field, and hit .360 in 156 games in Sportsman Park, St. Louey.....

In 104 games in Sportsmen Park, Ted Williams hit .399, and .361 in Fenway, 1,165 games.....

Stan Musial hit .343 in 171 games at the Polo Grounds/ .350 in 163 games played in Ebbets Field.....

Rod Carew hit .383 in 91 games in Cleveland......

Donnie BB, hit .346 in 69 games in Seattle's King-Dome/ .389 in 41 games in Toronto's Exhibition Stadium.....

    Tony Gwynn: B'AVG #Games Field
    .360 103 Fulton Co. Stadium-Atl.
    .355 116 Riverfront Cinci
    .357 107 AstroDome

Has anyone noticed that during A-roids ABs the announces mention the he's only 6-7 RBI away from tying Babe Ruth when actually he's over 200 away? The reason for this is that the RBI did not become an official stat until 1920 when Ruth had already had around 200 RBI prior to that including 113 in 1919.

Mantle could mash for distance, I've said for a couple seasons that Stanton reminds me a bit of MM at long distance bombs. He also plays a damn good defense out there. The Yankees need a guy like Stanton and wind up with Carlos Beltran who at some point in time this year pop out of the toaster.

In the boss's day Stanton would have been a Yankee.
