Peyton is still putting up the goose when it comes to his championship counter.

He makes it look easy and on top of that calls his own plays and makes tons of audibles on the line...etc...The guy is a master of the position. It's just just his fault the Colts have not won a title. GM's realize that. For me Tom Brady is really close behind Peyton, so close their almost tied. I'm not biased either way. I'm not stupid enough to say one is cleary better than the other, or Peyton Manning can't win the big game...
Peyton Manning couldn't win a Super Bowl with most likely the greatest offense ever assembled 1-2 years ago. Tom Brady continued to win with guys that he made 2x better. Peyton may be the master of his position, but Brady is the master of champions. If its just about 'how goddamn good' the player is, why do they even play the season in the first place?

They had a very small, young and poor tackling defense. Manning had a very good offense, I'm not going to say it was the greatest offense assembled but it was really good. The Patriots had tons more leadership and intangibles on defense...not to mention the coaching staff with the Patriots was a lot tougher/better in my opinion. The Patriots offense might not have been that sexy but it was effcient and a lot of guys stepped up (Givens, Branch, Brown) in big moments. The Patriots just had tougher players and edged them out. You can't blame Manning for them losing, football is such a complicated team game.
