Face reality. He is going to get traded. Time to start throwing out the proposals.

Not ruling out the possibility that they downgrade with money, some role players and picks. Maybe deals similar to below.

    Nash to Dallas

for Roussell, Ritchie and a first.

Or maybe a bit larger deal like

Nash and Glass for Oshie, Ott and a 1st and 3rd.

Watching the growth of Fast, Hayes and Miller I would probably be more open to taking a little less for Nash in return to save some money to sign Kreider and Stepan. Kreider is going to get huge money.

Why not ship him to the Oilers and get back some of their young talent? Tylor Hall? They are desperate to make the playoffs. AV seems like he is good at developing young players.

They're going to draft an unreal player why in the world would Edmonton do that?

mess, Nash will score a ton in Edmonton and in the west. They need someone established who can lead them to the playoffs and not another great young talent. They have enough as is. Give us Taylor Hall, draft picks and the way we go.

They can build around Nash. He is very good defensive forward who can help them defensively as well. They have no two way forwards like him.

He's not getting traded Dump. Why would a team want the same playoff issues we supposedly have for 7.8m? And give up cheaper cost controlled youth? All we can hope is he gets on the scoresheet a little more in the playoffs. Even Stamkos and guys like Crosby struggle this time of year. I honestly don't think GS and AV are that unhappy with him.

NO F'Kn WAY! Hate to be demonstrative about your trade, BUT
Lucic is a waste. Just my opinion.

He's getting traded 71. Time to join the world of reality. Edmonton also has no 2 way players. Their wings freaking suck. For a team that has drafted high for so many years, they don't have a lot of talent. However, I don't think that team is a match. Again 71, you are thinking like a fan and not like a GM. How many GM's in Edmonton have been fired because they don't make the playoffs? Do you think 40 goal power forwards grow on trees? They don't. Gaborik wasn't great in the playoffs either and look what the Rangers got for him. A center for the next decade. Stop thinking like a fan.

Kreider has emerged in the role that Nash was supposed to fill. I think Hayes eventually will take on the second power forward role. He's not as physical as Kreider but give it time. He's just a rookie. Same with Miller. To me the Rangers are at the point where they have outgrown Nash. He will not survive another playoff flop. It's over for him here now.

They could easily pry a couple of prospects like Schneider and Prince with Bobby Ryan from Ottawa for Nash. Ryan has disappointed in Ottawa. He's got 2 extra years on his contract for a salary 1.4 less a year on the cap hit. I'm sure the Sens would love to trade him. I'm sure they could dump Glass back on the Sens as well in order for Ottawa to get rid of an extra 2 years of Ryan. Question is would Ryan flourish under AV and is he worth another 4 years?

Chuck, for you say this thread is ridiculous shows your head up your ass. You have spent the entire last 2 years talking about Sather needing to go for it now. So, you think the GM of a team that has done that is going to watch a guy supposed to put this team over the top, fall on his face 2 years in a row in the playoffs and keep him? You're on crack. I'm pretty sure Sather with the play of Miller, Kreider, Hayes and Fast isn't going to be worrying about this team not making the playoffs if Nash isn't here. If Sather is going for it now, he's not going worry about trading a guy who doesn't do jack on this team for whatever reason in the playoffs.

I have my head up my ass for sure, I won't disagree with you there at all dump. So that is very true. But that still doesn't change the fact that as we sit here down 2-1 in the ECF facing a 100% must win to save our season, starting a thread to talk about fantasy trades of Rick Nash is ridiculous. That's just reality bro.

On the plus side I am happy to see you woke up long enough to start this thread and talk about fantasy trades in the middle of the ECF. Good stuff. Welcome back...LOL.

And BTW...maybe he will get traded and maybe he won't get traded, I don't know and can't say he won't, but we are in the middle of the ECF so who the F cares about this topic right now. If he did get traded, I think he still has some sort of NTC after this season, we aren't getting full value for right now IMO (maybe if we throw in Glass as you love to do in every deal after saying he is terrible...LOL). And for a win now team that seems like a step back, but again who gives a sh*t about that today.

Uhh...excuse me Chuck. But maybe you missed the "Official" tag in the subject line. Let's not diminish just how important this thread is. Please, everyone...let's get back to making trade proposals for an underperforming player while we are down 2-1 in the Eastern Conference Finals. Because, you know...it's time.

The same trade discussion came up when they were down in the last series. It's game four of the ECF tonight and the Rangers are alive. I seriously cannot even think about other teams and trades at this point. It's a little silly unless you just have no interest in the team right now.
