http://www.usatoday.com/story/life/...eeling-from-joshs-sex-abuse-scandal/27741883/ Apparently this guy has a TV show or something. Always cracks me up when these staunch conservative gay hating republican family values moral elitists are actually just flawed people. Who woulda thunk it. This guy is a sick fuck.
And the candidates for the Republican Presidential nomination are lining up to be photographed with this child abuser. The parents first knew in 2002 but did nothing. They said they were sending him for Christian counseling but later acknowledged that he had just been sent to live with a family friend. Meanwhile, here's another charmer. http://www.salon.com/2015/05/21/michigan_grindr_pastor_urged_gay_teen_to_kill_himself_says_mom/ Mathew Makela is another antigay, anti family planning preacher who it turns out used grindr to solicity nude pictures of men and gay sex. When discovered, members of the church were told not to think about this "sin" which apparently makes it go away. But hypocrisy was not enough. Turns out he counseled a depressed gay teen to kill himself since he was going to hell anyway. (like the old joke says, thank god I'm an atheist)
What I don't understand is how someone can claim to follow Jesus, who was a man devoted to loving his fellow human beings, and yet all these people do is spew hatred. It makes no sense to me. And that's regardless of whether you think Jesus was the son of God or just a regular guy. He helped the poor. He did not judge people. He abhorred greed. None of the principles that some of these people stand behind would fall in line with what Jesus supposedly stood for.
Mathew 7 "Do not Judge" 21: Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22: Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles? 23: Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'
Like I said, it doesn't make sense to me, but people are generally assholes and they look for reasons to hate other people. They don't want to own their hatred, they want to blame their hatred on some other supposedly legitimate reasoning. "I only hate gay people because it's against my religion." No.... you're just an asshole. It's really that simple.
I don't think it's actually called the "Learning Channel" anymore. Kinda like how MTV isn't actually the "Music Television" channel anymore and the "History" channel doesn't actually do anything on history.
