First photoshop sig

text is lame because I cant download on this comp but other than that I must say im impressed with my first piece.....

 

I was working on 2 at a time and this was the 2nd one. BTW I dont know how to make a border can someone point me in the right direction?

 

Right click select all Stroke. 5 pxls blk 3plxs white 1 black

 

for some reason my jrich sig is alot brighter on the site than it was on PS but whatever I'm still learning.

 

not bad for first sigs on ps. we have a tut on borders in our tut section I believe.

 

Add a border...New layerCtrl+AEdit > StrokeMake it white with 2 px widthRepeat but this time make it black with 1 px width

 

alright cool thanks. Anyway what are the main things I should look for when making a sig? right now my text is gonna be terrible, but other than that I've been trying brushing alot but I have limited brushes too, just really really basic ones. Other than that I'm waiting to get a new comp then I'm gonna go crazy. Maybe someday I'll make a run for GFX team.

 

Well this is a very good sig for your first. Good job on it.Take a look at our GFX/Tuts forum and you'll find basically everything you need. There are tuts obviously, and there are tons of resources for getting brushes and fonts.

 

yeah its not that I dont know how to get brushs and fonts, its just that right now I just use photoshop at school. So I cant download to the school computer because I cant touch the my computer and the computer settings on them im locked out. But I'm really enjoying experimenting. I started with just random pictures and using random effects and now I'm trying to put it all together. And I have experience, I used to make sigs on photofiltre but this is just a whole different world.
