Wow Denver raped in this one. They lose 2 first rounders, which is looking like their biggest loss in the deal at this point, and it looks like they may not even need them. Iverson and Anthony are going to be lethal when Melo gets back.

But that still means he is going to want the ball in his hands. And IMO, Denver should go with it. A.I is top 5 in the NBA, IMO, so Nuggets would be dumb if A.I didn't run this O-#. I am a big fan of A.I and I know how he plays his game. He will want to be the one that has the ball and he thinks and he can take over a game. Don't get me wrong, A.I is all about winning ball games, so I am sure he will pass the rock to melo for a open shot. But it's JMO, doesn't mean it will happen. Don't get so pi$$ed off because I am saying what I think man. :dribble:
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (CelticBalla32 @ Dec 19 2006, 04:35 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Sixersfan from the RealGM boards is officially CREDIBLE!!! This is the exact deal he said would go down. But I don't like this for Philly that much. They should have gone after a young player. Miller is a top 10-12 PG, IMO, so that's good, but he's not "young." He's not "old" yet, but they should have gone after a young player. Smith is an expiring deal, so that's solid, and the 2 picks are ok, but nothing special. Denver's picks are going to be mid-1st round to mid 20's (especially considering they have Iverson now). But wow, Allen Iverson and Carmelo Anthony - WATCH THE F*ck OUT!</div>I completely disagree, I like this deal for the 76ers alot. They have a point guard that can play in a fast tempo offense, and I think will be able to get the most out of Andre and Carney's athletic abilities in the open court. They now have three draft picks in this up coming draft, one which will be a lottery pick, and two picks in the 20's, that is solid. Then they also loose Smith's contract at the end of the season which is a huge bonus.

I was just saying AI and Melo don't need to be open to score.
This is actually a good deal for both teams. Denver gives up an unwanted player so to speak in Joe Smith, a good gritty, scoring point guard in Andre Miller, and two 1st rounders while the 76ers only give up Iverson. I would have actually perfered him to go to the Clippers but obviously the Clippers weren't intrested in trading Livingston.
Not bad, but the Nuggets' seeding will still be hurt by Melo and JR's absence, but they will be a scary team in the playoffs. Wow, I think every team in the West playoffs this year except for an 8th seed will have a good chance to get to the Finals. Scary... when will he join the team?
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am about to cry I am so happy! My mom called me up and told me on the bus haha and I started cheering so hard core! AIJR'MeloNene/Evans/NajeraCambyUNSTOPPABLE! We might not do to shabby now with AI helping us out while 'Melo and JR are gone.
OMG! I was hanging out with my friends eating dinner and my one friend calls me and told me Iverson got traded to Denver. I didn't believe what he said so I sent a text message to KingJamez and he told me the deal.I can't be happier right now, This trade came at the perfect time with Carmelo and Smith losing time due to suspension. I think it will take a few weeks for Iverson and Carmelo to start clicking together but when it does happen things could get very ugly for the rest of the league. Neither player is selfish, Both want to win. I think they will work out fine together.Allen IversonJR SmithCarmelo AnthonyEduardo NajeraMarcus CambyThat's a dangerous line-up. We might have the best non big man trio in the league.

Why? Ok St. grad alum baby! He is a great hustler, only 6'9" I think, but he plays really big.
Nice deal for the Sixers.... Melo + AI = Denver's loosing Streak is comingthey might not share the ball
It's great to see philly building for the future. They could get Durant at the rate they are going. They also have Dallas and Denver's first rounders so that could be great for their future. They should defintely start using Louis Williams this year.

I don't necessarily think it's a great deal for Philly, but I think it's the best deal with their current situation. The expiring contract and 3 first rounders in a supposedly deep draft is a pretty fantastic deal compared to what everyone else was offering. I don't know what else you can say about it.
Another thing you got to keep in mind.Is K-Mart comes back next season, so thats another guy who they can give the ball down low to.So far I am not worried about Denver and I wont be until I see Iverson and Melo working together. You can say this and that but the fact is, NONE of you seen A.I with any kinda superstar player.
