<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (valo35 @ Dec 19 2006, 04:41 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I completely disagree, I like this deal for the 76ers alot. They have a point guard that can play in a fast tempo offense, and I think will be able to get the most out of Andre and Carney's athletic abilities in the open court. They now have three draft picks in this up coming draft, one which will be a lottery pick, and two picks in the 20's, that is solid. Then they also loose Smith's contract at the end of the season which is a huge bonus.</div>I know, and this is a great draft class. It's not an absolutely terrible deal, but I just think it would have been better if they brought in a solid young player as well.

You can say this and that but the fact is, NONE of you seen A.I with any kinda superstar player.</div>I saw him in the Olympics in 2004, where he was more than willing to share the ball, and played very good basketball. I would say that he was the most consistent and best player for the U.S. olympic team that year.
Good trade for both teams. Philadelphia finally has a very good PG, more cap space, a couple picks for the future and probably a good shot at the top pick in the draft. Denver makes out good as well. They lose a couple mid-1st rounders for one of the games best players. Both teams make out well, good deal, Denver will be great to watch when the suspension is over.

not bad trade for hilly, but not really good either. they could've gotten more young talent. (ahem BOSTON )
This is the most talented team AI has ever played with. He has great young talent in JR, a superstar in 'Melo, a down low monster in Camby, and some great role players such as Najera, Evans, etc.
This is not going to work well. Iverson is a scorer, along with Melo and JR. They will have to find some way to make this happen....

Whenever I think of the Sixers, I will always think of Allen Iverson. It's definitely going to take a lot of time to get used to (if I ever even do get used to it). But hey, just think how odd it must look for Sixers fans, eh? Wow.

'Melo takes as much shots as he has too, which usually isn't a lot, he is a good team player. JR was asked today how he felt about AI coming to Denver and he was excited and they asked him if he minded that his points would go down and he acted like he didn't care as long as the team was winning.
I found another photoshopped picture:Wow, first of all, that is a good photoshop job. Second of all - it looks soooo weird at first. Man. Oh well, we'll all get used to it sooner or later.
Iverson will do what it takes to win, he wanted out of Philly because he could not win. I think his shooting % will go up with Denver because he has a choice to create a shot for JR or Melo, or create his own shot. He's very good at doing both.

Did you actually think we wouild get a great player in return or something? We got a very good pg to run our offense, an expiring contract, and 2 1st rounders for '07 which is a very stacked draft. I think the boston offer is better, but I do like this deal.

So essentially they got alot in return, for there future..

I don't see jr smith, melo and AI working. this logjam is just as bad as what the knicks have, too many scorers I think jr smith is going to be traded. I mean you have 2 30 point scorers playing together? and on top of that jr smith who is a scorer also. since the nuggets are melo's team I think iverson is gonna have to make a huge sacrifice in his game and I don't think that's gonna sit well with him. I don't think this makes them a championship squad either. the nuggets need a pg now. without miller who's gonna distribute the ball? earl boykins? it sure as hell isn't gonna be iverson.
Damn it can't imagine him in a Denver jersey. He can't wear #3 since thats DerMarr Johnson's number. But Denver obvioulsy won the deal. They traded picks that they wouldn't need because their rcord would basically give them a low pick. King did an okay job by picking up Dre and Joe Smith. Smith has a nice expiring contract and gives them a little space next year. Miller will get the ball to everyone since he is a pass first player. So basically Iggy and Korver's numbers should go up.Backcourt can be questioning. When suspensions are done and over it will look a bit odd IMO. JR Smith who has been amazing so far will get less shots because of the shots and points AI and Melo will do. But maybe Iverson does distribute the ball he did in Philly, with more reliable options available he doesn't have to take his 25 shots a game.
