I mean you have 2 30 point scorers playing together? and on top of that jr smith who is a scorer also. since the nuggets are melo's team I think iverson is gonna have to make a huge sacrifice in his game and I don't think that's gonna sit well with him. I don't think this makes them a championship squad either. the nuggets need a pg now. without miller who's gonna distribute the ball? earl boykins? it sure as hell isn't gonna be iverson.</div>that's not a logjam at all. they play 3 different positions. Iverson can distribute. When he'll actually have someone else that can score every once in a while, it will take alot of burden off of him. His percentages will go up, turnovers down. How dare you compare this situation to the knicks.
This is going to be a compleltley insane team......I honestly have to consider them a top 4 team in the west now. I honestly cant wait to see Melo and Iverson played beside each other. That is going to be an absolutley sick duo. For everyone who says it wont work, I strongly disagree. Iverson has never had a player on his team like Melo, so all we have seen from Iverson, is the guy who HAS to take alot of shots to win the game for his team. I think that you will see Iverson change his game alot and this team is going to be sick. They are going to be a very fast paced team, and they can score against you in so many ways. As for the deal, I dont think Philly was going to get much better. They got a good, but old playmaker in Miller, Smith who doesn't add a whole bunch, and then the first two rounders. That is the real reason Philly did this.....

I'm comparing them in that both teams will have too many scorers. carmelo averages over 30 a game, iverson averages over 30 a game, smith 17 a game. are you telling me that can work? forget what I said about the knicks. tell me how this can work.

Iverson won't take as many shots as he used to, he will work as the distrubutor and team player. He has proven in the past that he is willing to change his game, and do what is needed to win. Just look at how he changed his game when Larry Brown was with him with the 76ers. Iverson also changed his game very much in the '04 Olympics to try to win more games. Carmelo Anthony has proven he can gel with other all-star players, and play as a team player. Look at how he did with team USA this past summer. He is willing to give up shots if needed, and he will score if needed. These are players that will change their style of play to fit the team, and that's why I think they will work well together.

AI has never had a player like Melo along side him, and know that he has a great player, he can be more of a playmaker. Everyone knows that he has the talent to be more of a real pg rather than a shooting guard, and know that he will get the chance, it will work out perfectly. They all play different positions, and things will be fine. All this means is that they have more options to score. If Melo is having a bad night, AI can pick up the slack, and vise versa.
we'll see how it pans out because melo is out for 15 games so for 15 games iverson is gonna run the show.

Two first round draft picks? Wow! Maybe #15 and #20 if they're lucky. Denver is most likely going to win 50 this year.Andre Miller is a good player, but oherwise there's nothing good about the deal. I thought that Philly could at lest get a borderline all-star.

For what it's worth, here's one last tribute to 10 years of amazing basketball for AI in Philly.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5I7ilIRJgQ&eurl=It's 11 minutes long. I watched the whole thing.
LOL every team in the Atlantic is pretty much rebuilding with youth like Raps, Celtics, Sixers...I think this is a good deal for the Sixers because it gives them that flexibilty of rebuilding with cap room, their only obstacle ahead is moving C-Webb! This coming up draft for them is going to be very interesting see how they're in the Greg Oden sweepstake!
No way in heell they can move Cwebb. Theyve just got to wait 2 years for his contract to come off the books.

Depending on how well they make out of this upcoming draft, their team could become very dangers. Now that AI is out of town, and they have a true PG, Iggy and Korver are both going to do better. I wouldnt be surprise to see Philly trade their two picks to get a top 3-5 pick in this draft, and try and land a guy like Durant.

It's just that chances are they aren't going to be a franchise player. Sometimes you do have pleasent surprises or steals.

I would imagine that every player in the top ten is going to be a great player (not one of Oden's or Durant's caliber) but they are going to be great. This draft is also going to be very deep as well, so if they dont decide to trade up, and they do decide to do something like New Orleans did last year, they will still get some good players.

Youve gotta think Philly is aiming at Greg Oden right now, and as a Raptor fan, I hope that doesn't happen.
