Wow, I totally forgot that Philly had their own pick as well. hahah.....they are going to have a sick draft. The way things are heading right now, they are going to have a very good shot at getting that first pick, and Oden is exactley what this team needs. Dalembert is very inconsistent offensivley and defensivley, and I think Oden would fit in perfectly. He would add an offensive game that is very efficent, and his defensive presence is amazing. The Sixers are going to get so much talent out of this draft that its not even funny....With those other two picks, I would imagine them to go after a SG. Their guard situation right now besides Miller is terrible. You know that when Kevin Ollie is starting that your guard set is bad. This upcoming draft is going to be very deep, so I would imagine that they could pick up some great talent with their later two picks. Watch out for Philly next year....
Yeah I'm a naysayer on if this works. Stackhouse and Iverson were both big scorers but the chemistry didn't work there. I think Iverson needs a big man and Carmelo doesn't play like one. This team reminds me of the nets which doesn't have good chemistry. They are better now but not by as much as people think. Defense is a concern as well.

It's just that chances are they aren't going to be a franchise player. Sometimes you do have pleasent surprises or steals.</div>Sixers might not get the franchise player really. Iggy is an okay player to biuld around b[]NOW[/b]. The season is still young and Draft Night is in June. With those 2 picks and maybe some players they can get a higher pick if they make a trade. Phily has their own pick and can get top 14 definately and may have a chance on Joakim Noah or Kevin Durant
Philly with Odeng - millersg - iguodolasf - korverpf - dalembert/webberc - odenNow that would be a great lineupNote: I didn't include in the lineups any possible starters that they could get out of their 2 other picks, although it's possible, especailly at the two forward spots

The Sixers would have a real soft-spot at the the forward positions, and as good as Oden is he'd be inexperienced as anyone. However. if that lineup came to fruition, three years down the road and the Sixers could be a playoff squad.

I think we'll go swingman this year. I've got my eye on a couple people, Marco Bellinilli, Daequan Cook, Marcus Williams, etc..

If that is what I am enterpreting, you are nuts. But if Toronto would have a top 3 pick (which I doubt will happen but it is possible with how the lottery works), the first choice would obviously be Durant. I think that a guy like Wright out of Kansas would be a good fit as well. He is athletic, and can get out in the open floor. He would be great playing alongside Ford.

Oden has not decided to come to the NBA next year. He might stay another year in college. But if he were to go to the SixersreIggyKorverWebberDalembertHe is too inepirenced to start. IMO he might be in the lineup after the All-Star break.
Well, the Raps werent expected to get the #1 pick last year either but it happenned, so everything is possible. I havent watched Bargnani enough to make a judgement on him, but I really dont think he is the future center for this team...It may come with time, but from the little that I have seen and from what I have heard, he isnt a good rebounder or a good defender. What I have heard is that he is good on the perimeter and has a good jumpshot. I dont know if he could possibly play the SF spot in the future, but I wouldnt rule it out.
You guys are sleeping or else really confused.College experts say that Greg Oden is already an NBA all-star type player because of his defense. He doesn't ahve any great post moves yet but he can block shots, alter shots, and rebound just as well as any NBA player ever. Greg Oden's rookie season will look something like Dwight Howard's current season. You better believe it. Why do you think Oden is called an all-time-great player already?

He is going to go up with players better than him and with his expirience he won't know the other big man's moves or might not know the moves to knock on him. His rookie season at best is probably Nenad Kristic stats right now except more boards IF he starts. but if he doesn't it will be around 7-9 ppg with 5-7 boards a game.
Allen Iverson and Carmelo Anthony are used to being the stars on their team. They are used to taking all the shots. They were FORCED to play that way due to the lack of a supporting cast. Both of these players have a will to win, They will sacrifice the high scoring numbers to win basketball games.
I figured that A.I. would end up in Denver. But I was sort of surprised to see Andre Miller in this deal. But I think that Philly won this deal. because they are in a rebuilding stage if you can pick up 2 1st rounders and a solid point guard that gets a lot of assists and plays good D, for only a scoring PG and a no-namer, then that to me is a good trade for Philly. My only concerns are that, who is going to be the 76ers prime scorer? Willie Green? he has so far.

His defense is improving every day, and he is just a terrific offensive player, and future 20 ppg guy for us. He is also good going to the basket, and he has nigty offensive scoring moves. As a rookie, he's doing better than Nowitzki did so why would you judge him as "not" the future for us at center?
What I'm really wondering here is how the western teams will manage to guard AI, Melo and JR. I don't think any team at all has the players to manage to stop all three of them and even if they are successful in stopping one, there are two other great players to fill in the role. Teams now gotta start making adjustments on how they will guard the trio whenever Melo comes back, should be real interesting to see.
