Chicago also had a down season in there. And Chicago also won cups, which I think changes the equation as well. We have not won any cups. Look at the Kings this season, played the most playoff series right with us and missed the playoffs.

So yeah we can do it again. Yeah we have the talent. But it is a big concern I have...we'll see. Mentally it will be real tough for this team to get up AGAIN next season, it has to be. This season was rare for a SCF loser, and we were fueled by "change the ending", can we break the norm and do it again next season...won't be easy as the East gets better.

Get into the playoffs with a decent seed and let the chips fall where they may. This season was a good example of why you don't get caught up in that President's Trophy crap.

All you can do. I am concerned for sure, but at least I feel we have the horses for sure, so just get in and go from there. I bet we are a lower seed in the playoffs next season and struggle some in the regular season. Just hope we slip in.

You know how I felt about the Pres trophy BS...and yes it was 100% BS...LOL.

Kings are just a weird bunch. They play regular seasons on the fringe and this year finally got burned. Yes, after the first cup Chicago lost in the first round two years in a row. That being said their regular seasons those two years were still very good.

Considering they were clearly better on the road as compared to MSG what did it do for them?

The Hawks also have some crazy high end talent upfront and on D, and that helps carrry you to good regular seasons. We don't have that, we are a more balanced team with a great goalie. Either way you and I agree. It will be tough next season, just hope we are up for the very tough challenge.

Sadly, now don't care about tonight's game and will not watch a second of the finals. The season is over.
