Ugh, that bottom of the lineup. Ellsbury needs to get bad here, and Esmil Rogers needs to be traveling by bus.
Yeah Gregorius has shown very little improvement from April to May Drew (I didn't think it was possible) but he got worse. And Young is beginning to show why he's had trouble finding a solid landing spot.
...not sure if you and the others have noticed or not, but since Ellsbury has been gone Gardner's stats have gone downhill quickly...when Ellsbury was getting on base at a .400+ clip and was a threat to steal, Gardner at that time saw many more FBs...now, with no one on base most of the time, Gardner is no longer getting those fat pitches and he's now reverted back to striking out 25% of the time. ...you're right, Ellsbury needs to get back in the line up.
Last night Girardi said he's swinging the bat but hasn't done much running. I know that doesn't help but he gave no projection date on a return.
How effing long will the Yanx continue with Drew and a bat in his hands....??? He must have something on Hank or Brian......???
If he's not in there tonight that will make 3 straight games so I'd have to believe they've FINALLY seen the light. I guess well find out tonight.
Tonight's game should be one helluva show with King Felix vs Pineda...... Looking forward to the game, and hoping like hell, no games are blacked out like they were this last weekend......at least 3/4ths of all MLB games were blacked out here.....
