Love Mathews heart but it's a business and signing him would be huge mistake unless you get him for a bargain. He will likely never be the same especially on the defensive end. Have to think of him as spot up shooter as 6th or 7th man. Painful because he was heart of this team but Achilles is something you never fully recover from. Risking millions signing him would be terrible decision.

"Huge mistake," "never fully recover," and "terrible decision" are all very strong statements for the limited information we have.

Again I like Mathews but you just don't come back to 100% from this type of injury even a guy like Mathews. His strength was his defense and his shooting well he will never be a great defender again maybe average at best. Sorry I'm as loyal as they come but team has gone extremely smart this off season is critical.

no, actually the correct interpretation given the history of Achilles ruptures requiring surgery and their aftermath, use logic not emotion

Logic dictates analyzing each situation on its own merits, rather than simply assuming the worst. Some top-level professional athletes have come back at full strength after a ruptured achilles. Some have not. To dogmatically claim that Wes will not is presumptive, not logical.

so we assign RISK to the equation, IF we did sign him it would have t0 be a year or two at maybe 8-10 mil, or a significantly lower amount for 3-4 years. I think a 2 yr deal with perhaps a player option is fair, if Wes proves himself all the way back then he can opt out next summer when the big increase in the cap occurs and get a big payday, if he's not so good he at least gets 2 years at lets say 15-20 mil for those 2 years. I can live with that, if Wes can then great, if he can't then adios Wes

He's rehabbing in Los Angeles, this can only mean he wants to play for the Lakers.

    We're doomed!
