As some of you know, I've been trying to lose weight since last thanksgiving. As of today, I've lost 100 pounds and dropped from 310 to 210. This was a pretty big goal for me, took a lot of effort but I'm thrilled with the results. My goal was to lose the 100 by my birthday, may 31st, but I'm a day late. Oh well, still happy. My revised goal is to lose 130 total and get down to 180, but I'm pretty sure that the last thirty pounds are going to take a long time, since the weight comes off much slower now. Anyway, I am happy and proud of my accomplishment. Tomorrow I move from Portland to Walla Walla where I will go back to school in enology and viticulture (wine making and vineyard management) and am excited to start this new chapter of my life much happier, healthier and lighter. Cheers
I just tried to upload some normal iPhone photos but the site is saying they are too large to upload.
My workout is simple. At least two times a week a hard bike trip (50 + miles with hills) then every other day an easier ride or a trip to the gym for 1-1.5 hours cardio.
Very well done Further, proud of your hard work. Glad that said work has paid off and you are able to enjoy the fruits and vegetables of your labor.
Congrats. For a moment there, on the subject line, I thought this was going to be about the CW dropping The 100, which I just started watching on Netflix.
Wow. Congrats Further that is a hell of an accomplishment and something you should be very proud of. You look great! I lost around 50 lbs in the first year or two after getting into fitness, I can't even imagine doubling that! The only thing I would recommend for these last 30 lbs would be to start throwing in some weight training a couple times a week. The increase in muscle mass will help your body burn more calories. Again congratulations and I will definitely continue to look for updates!
That's a good idea, to add weights. I've just started adding some Dumbbells but honestly haven't been good about using them. I just moved from Portland to Walla Walla, so packing up, moving and unpacking my entire life has actually been like lifting. Good time to make it more formal.
Keeping the weights on the lighter side and using drop sets/very little rest time will give you both a good pump and keep the heart rate up. If you need any help or anything feel free to shoot me a PM!
