http://www.nj.com/yankees/index.ssf/2015/06/how_much_longer_is_yankees_jacoby_ellsbury_out.html Looks like he's going to be out another month.
6 weeks from the injury is June 30....then perhaps some abs in a minor game, so yeah a month. I'm assuming that is best case. I tweaked that outside knee tendon before, takes 3 solid weeks of laying off all but walking until the discomfort goes away.
DLsbury is what I called him in Boston. Guy is glass, but a good ballplayer when on the field. Talent & durability go hand in hand. Which is even moreso the case for Tanaka who owes us a run through October without another injury.
...Ellsbury has been given an unfair rap IMO...the guy hustles and goes full tilt on every play and the majority of his DL time was the result of 2 horrible collisions with team mates while both were trying to catch fly balls. No way I'm gonna hold that against him.
