Funny Ron Adams, Kyle Korver, Omer Asik -- championship core

    (I left the ? off the thread title...sorry...it's a question, not a statement)


    I see a bellyaching over the loss of these pieces.

    Valuable members when they were here, no doubt. But how valuable are they in reality?

    We have the poor man's version of those guys. Better to have the rich man's version, no?

    I don't care a rat's ass about Adams. He doesn't belong in any big picture discussion.

    Korver's a great shooter and a nice role player to have on your team, but he's a borderline starter (yeah, yeah, I'm aware that he was selected for the EC all star team).

    I was very disappointed when the Bulls couldn't retain Asik. He's a terrific backup center.

    Korver and Asik can be important pieces of a championship team. This said, both are "win with" not "win because of" players.

    Edit: Don't mean to hijack the thread, but I just noticed that Asik's a free agent. What sort of contract do you think he'll get?
