    This is my great interest right now, perhaps even more so than the upcoming draft: who is Hoiberg going to bring on as lead assistant, and what kind of experience do they bring to the table?

    Yes, that he was free to hire his own assistants. And that he's considering what to do with the assistants that are left over from the previous coaching staff.

    I would like to see Fred get a big name assistant. If the assistant is known for his defense, the better.

    Cheeks, Malone, Frank come to mind.
