Would be great. Less goals in the regular season and doesn't score in the playoffs. The Rangers should be all over that one.
No on that one.Don't another small, left handed shooting forward who is weak in the playoffs. I don't see a match between these teams.
He's a right shot RW and plays with an edge that this team could use. Might look nice with Kreider-Stepan. But it no world is he worth Rick Nash. EDIT: Wow my mistake, I read this as Hornqvist....
It would be a partial salary dump. I suspect they would get picks and a prospect back along with and would have some plan to replace Nash with a size forward.
First thing Sather needs to do is trade Talbot. Use Glass in the deal. Dallas wanted him in the off-season. I'm all over Roussel and a 2nd in a Glass for Talbot deal. Next would be to explore a Yandle deal. Unless they plan on keeping him, they better trade him. You can't give up what they did for a 2 year rental. See what offers are out there for Nash as well.
I don't think Trading Yandle is a bad idea if they get a solid return back... Yes his salary is low but he looked out of whack playing on the 3rd pairing and his defense sucks... That's the total opposite of how this defense was built
I like Jaskin a lot. Oshie no thanks, 5 goals in 30 playoff games means more of the same. I'm still not trading Nash unless somebody really overpays for him, which I dont see happening. Dump do you slide Roussel on the 4th? I dont know if AV is a big fan of that kind of play. Can we get Foligno and a 2nd from Buf for Talbot? Send Glass to Dallas for anything. Foligno-Moore-Lindberg is an interesting 4th line. Also I'm for keeping Yandle like I said, and looking for him to be resigned.
I really don't think we would have an obvious 3rd or 4th line. Two bottom lines that would both be good. Create a line of Hagelin-Lindberg-Fast. Move Hayes to the first line wing to replace St. Louis. Assume they don't deal Nash which I would look into. Hayes-Brassard-Nash Kreider-Stepan-Zucc Hagelin-Lindberg-Fast Roussel-Moore-Miller I mentioned Foligno during the year but I like Roussel better.
I suppose you could attempt a Talbot deal and see if the Sharks would give up a big right handed shot like Coyle with size. He's young and I doubt they would want to move him.
I don't see a bottom feeder trading much for a year of Talbot. Why would they, just to go from 30th to 22nd and net a worse draft pick? More likely is he gets traded during the season to a good team whos goalie goes down and maybe the Rangers snag a late 1st then. I don't think that dealing him is worth it for a late 2nd/3rd.
I don't know. I see him getting dealt in the off-season. He's really perfect for a rebuilding team. He'll give them a chance to win more games now. He'll allow them 3-4 years to develop some young goalies. He's the perfect, short term age. He can hold the fort down for a team for 4-5 years.
