Considering how close the play ended up with the bobble he DEFINITELY would have been doubled up had he fielded the play cleanly. No doubt about it.
Call it a coincidence or genius , 2 nites ago I predicted something was to happen as a result of a panic move made by an over zealous leader
It's silly to try and blame the manager for injuries. Most of the time these guys have prior pain they don't tell anyone about and they try and pitch through it.
Pasta I've made no secret over the years that I'm not a Girardi fan either but seriously, you blame him for some of the dumbest things I've ever seen. Case in point the other night when Tex didn't tag up from 3rd. That's on Teixeira & the 3rd base coach not Girardi. You need to lighten up on the blame game.
Have you got an isle number on that Tom? I'm curious to see how much Pasta paid for the crap he shares with us.
all i can ask u guys is to think outside the box... teams up 5 runs, been sittin out in bullpen for how long?.. u r thinkin game is in hand right? , been used a lot,,,, u get the call to come into a game where there is no save situation, your head's not in it, your body surely won't be.... INJURY, thats how chit happens!! just lookin at the big picture.. thats all.. ima thinker
He's a professional baseball player and a closer on top of it. To say he got injured because his head wasn't in the game is not thinking outside of the box. It's not thinking at all.
So what he is a pro athlete? He just like you n me , u thrilled to be at work everyday? problem is you guys, Like my father don't consider this to be a job... It is!!! u guys would give an arm and a leg to play this game, that is admirable, but there are days u r just not into it, but don't take my word for it, not like I wasn't there, ohh sorry not the show, but close enough.
