I thought Dusty Rhodes was quit a bit older than 69.......obviously not.......

I can hear him say his customary: "I'm gonna' win this match for My sweet Sapphire", whoever she was..........His Son also pursued a career in WCW/WWE, wonder what happened to Jr.....?

My Son did get to see (up close) Here Locally: Rhodes, Flair, The Ultimate Warrior (his all time favorite), The Undertaker, and Brett The Hit Man Hart, way back in the late 80s. The who's who of the WWF (then now WWE), and WCW......back when alot of Wrestling Entertainers, were jumping ships from one Org to another.....

Yes, he's Dusty's older son Dustin. Dustin's younger brother Cody is also a wrestler.

I sat at a dinner table with Andre the Giant, Hulk Hogan, and a few other early 80s WWF guys - great big, funny people.

They were great. I have nothing but fond memories and good feelings when I think back on the old WWF. Great entertainment.
Funny stuff....good "action", larger than life characters....... total package.

I once got into a minor "scuffle" (lol) with Arian Adonis near ringside seats as he was entering. This was when he was the leather jacket guy.
Later on he became the pretty boy guy.
Just made an innocuous little comment and he (naturally) over reacted, took his jacket off from his shoulder and swung it at me....all in good fun.
    I was lmao.

This was back when wwf played hs gyms. My dad was a local cop and worked security off-duty for the event. It was surreal to have these guys calling each other by their real names.

It didn't get any better than that eh, Tom....??? they all were very big men, especially Andre the Giant, you must of felt like a midget in the presence of those greats. "Midget" now I am profiling, ...........

All those in the era you mention Tom, are now all Iconic Wrestling Entertainers........I've got to say "Entertainers", since I lettered in my Freshman Year in Wrestling, first and only Frosh Athlete to letter that year......now that was real wrestling.......I never cared for Greco-Roman tho'.....!
