I was once going to start a thread titled " Cashman bitten by a snake" then inside the box "Don't worry the snake will live!"

Got to admit I was hoping this thread was true, Maybe the Steins had a bad day and took it out on Cashman.

    ...I can envision the meeting between the Steins and Cashman after last season;

Hal; "Brian, you realize that your contract is up, right?"

    Cashman; "Yes"

Hal; And you do realized we've missed the PS 2 years in a row, right?"

    Cashman; "Yes"

Hal; "And you do realize they we gave you a blank checkbook and you still managed to fuck this roster up, right?"

    Cashman; "Yes"

    ...long pause.

Hal; "OK, me and Hank talked it over and since you've done such an inept job so far, we're gonna reward you with a new contract so that maybe this time you can straighten the roster out....Is 3 more years enough ?"

Cashman; "Yes, 3 years would be nice...are free hookers included?"

    Hal; "Of course".

[Hal, Hank, and Cashman get up from the table high-fiving each other]

Pathetic thing is that may well have been how it actually went! I think the best part of the Katzenjammer Kids went down Georges leg.

You forgot the part where he blamed KLong for not implementing his offensive plan.

Speaking of getting fired I see the Padres fired Bud Black today Good baseball man just went through too many changes with the Padres cheapskate Brass and probably had no chance with the current regime. . I've got a feeling that Robin Ventura may be next. With all the deals the White Sox made they were pre-season picks to succeed, not going in the planed direction.

Every time I hear that name I think of the quiz," what battery mates shared the name of a popular tool company? And the answer was Black & Decker. The Giants had Bud Black as pitcher & Steve Decker as the catcher.

Honestly, when I saw this OP, I thought this has to be a joke, and it is..........

Hank is lacking the wits and balls to terminate Trashman......

but damn would I love to see the Kids sale out, to a group that will bring many more Dynasties to the Bronx.....as well as The Trashman being picked up by "Waste Management"......
