I'm gonna keep this short and sweet. Portland needs A LOT of changes to be serious championship contenders. If LA stays in Portland, priority #1 should be to add some damn grit and toughness to this team. Our bench of CJ and Leonar_....yes, he still plays zero defense, are both finesse guys who are more concerned with offense and looking good, than diving on the floor or taking a damn charge. If defense isn't preached from day 1 then it's time to get rid of Stotts. We need to STOP SHOOTING JUMP SHOTS. Everyone saying GS winning shows jump shooting teams can win, needs to look at points in the paint stats. Number 2 in the league were the Warriors. Where is Portland you may be asking? 26th
Great to see you back MM! By your post it seems you haven't lost a step! Alvin Gentry had a lot to do with the Warriors success. We need a defensive coordinator like Thibs and we'll be fine
Also you're not officially back until I edit one of your posts. HAHAHAHAHAHA! No seriously, can't have swear words in thread titles on the main page since thread titles are posted on Blazers.com. You can post swear words in thread titles on the OT section if you really feel the need.
Hooray! Glad you're back. Who was that "mediocre boy"? Anyway, agree with you 100% that the team needs more grit and more defense.
A gunfighter walks into the saloon and bellows "all you in-bred f****ts clear out!" The bar empties, except for one guy who calmly lounges at the bar with his beer. Gunfighter marches up to him and demands "WELL?" The guy at the bar looks around and responds "sure were a lot of them."
Welcome Back! We we top 10 in both offense and defense when we were healthy - a hallmark of championship teams. As for toughness, with the 23rd pick in the draft...
MM, now that you're back you should reaquaint yourself with our team strengths. Apparently, they are Damian Lillard and Steve Blake: http://www.slcdunk.com/nba-draft/20...ound-breakdown-team-needs-strengths-and-draft
As I have posted before, Mediocre Man never bothered me, and I often agreed with him. I never understood why he engendered such personalized opposition. Okay, I found another one.
Oh and how about Leonard? Seems like that white American born center is actually showing some promise
Stotts DID preach defense from Day 1 in Fall 2014 and for most of the season, while healthy, we were a top 5 defense in the NBA. Welcome back, I guess.
Oh he watched it, it's just when you reach a certain senile old age, no matter what happens you see what you want. Welcome back, with a personal attack.
