Obviously Allen Iverson (and Ivan McFarlin) was just traded to Denver for Andre Miller, Joe Smith, and two 2007 first round picks (one is Dallas'). Now, this is not a thread about "did you like the trade," all that talk should be in the 9 page thread about this trade in the General NBA section. But this is a thread FOR SIXERS FANS to give their thoughts on the guys they have just acquired (Andre Miller, Joe Smith).

After bolding "this is for Sixers fans," it would be hypocritical of me to give my thoughts on these guys and their fit with the Sixers, seeing how I am a Celtic fan. But all I will say is I can not wait to see Andre Miller on a 2 on 1 break with either Iggy or Carney on his side. That's a highlight waiting to happen!

But, Sixers fans only, what are your thoughts on Dre and Smith, and how do you like them in your system?

I don't care about the players... I care about the draft picks, even though they will likely fall somewhere in the 20's in the draft. The players are only going to help us suck more (more lottery balls!) and of course their expiring contracts (Joe after this year, Miller after next).

I think Miller will help out and can continue to have a soild year as he is having but with the sixers now. The draft picks were also a good pickup though it's only really good to us if the nuggets don't do so well this year which I doubt, but the picks should still help.I wan't the sixers to draft Greg Oden. <<<<<<<<<<<< if they do il seriosly like jump up in the air and go crazy lol.

I think Miller could help us for a little bit. And Smith will have a good game here and there, but he wont be consistent. But I bet Mo will put him in the normal rotation. But like what BigMo said, the picks are the real main focus on this trade. Even though they might be in the 20's, it will give us some quality players in this deep draft.

Andre Miller is a good player, but I hope he does not give us a better chance at getting more wins. I want a top 4 draft pick. Having Dallas' and Denver's draft picks is also great because from I have been hearing this will be a very deep draft.

Those picks will be mid-late first round (probably both in the 20's), but this draft class is VERY deep. You will get quality players late in the first round, and you will get some NBA rotation players in the 2nd round as well. This draft is just exceptional (if Oden comes out or not).
