No I am not talking about taking steroids! I purchased an Omega juicer about 2 years ago and generally end up getting more use out of it this time of the year. It can be kind of spendy, and is definitely labor intensive (although the juicer I have helps cut down on labor). The juice tastes great (if you want it to) and is great for you. My favorite recipe is definitely apple/beet/carrot juice. I just made a batch of just that, and added in some cherries that were sitting around needing to be eaten. The cherries added a bit of tang/sweetness and a subtle cherry flavor. I have also tried some green juices which were based off of kale/spinach. Those drinks definitely tend to taste a bit more bitter, and are not as enjoyable to drink as the sweeter fruit juices. Do any of you juice? What are some of your favorite recipes?
I've got a Champion industrial juicer and I love it! I use my blender more often for my daily breakfast of blueberries, bananas, yogurt, apples, any fruit I have handy, flax seed, ground almonds or walnuts. I'm addicted to these things. I eat Kale and Chard, etc in salads as well as carrots, etc. not a big veggie juicer. In the fall I crank up the Champion and juice pears, apples and plums from my orchard.
Confused, your thread title talks about juicing but your post only mentions some hippy shit and nothing about steroids.
Now I'm wondering about the protein content of blended dog. Typical story here. I bought a powerful blender from Costco a year ago. I'd like to use it for healthy vegetables since I recently went vegetarian, but so far I only use it for ice cream and chocolate syrup in milk shakes. Can anyone save me? I haven't used it much since months ago, when I pushed spinach and tofu down into the blades and they sucked the plastic spatula down right out of my hand. I saved the plastic pieces I fished out of my mouth when I tried to eat it. They're on a bookcase. Ha ha! That Jlprk sure has an imagination! None of that could possibly be true! He is much cooler than he lets on.
