I can't believe this hasn't been covered, even by Fox. Those two murderers that escaped from prison in New York escaped from the Clinton Correctional Facility! That's right, a prison owned and run by Hillary Clinton! First Benghazi and now this! Her dereliction of duty is just astonishing! Real Americans should do something about this! barfo
If they got the death penalty, they wouldn't have escaped. They'd be dead instead of being a threat to innocent people, and the cops who will eventually arrest them.
How do we know that she isn't involved? Since they escaped the news has been covering Bernie Sanders less.
If you were truly Libertarian, you'd want the economic system to right all wrongs. The government shouldn't play a role.
Libertarians believe in government with laws. Just as little government as possible and as much government as minimally required. And, it's a very common Libertarian saying that "you have a right to swing your fist, up to the point it hits someone else's nose." In other words, law/crime/courts/etc.
One man's minimum government is another man's maximum government. A big tough guy wants less government interference in his freedom to swing his fist, than a thin intellectual does. A rich employer wants weaker employment regulations than a low-paid employee does. It's all relative, so Libertarianism is attractive mainly to the rich and/or powerful. Your best allies are probably escaped murderers. They are definitely Libertarians, opposed to government regulation.
Libertarianism worked for years in the USA up to the point where the law was not upheld to address crime. For example: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greenwood,_Tulsa#.22The_Black_Wall_Street.22 Note that no big government was needed for success, but government was only needed to protect citizens from violent attacks by others. No affirmative action. No economic interference by government of any kind. People thrived.
You depict the biggest exception, Greenwood, as the rule. You point out the shining apex of the pyramid, but ignore the 99% base of the pyramid, the suffering masses supporting the top. What did your system do for most black people in that era? I see potential in Libertarianism, so I bother with it. With major modifications, it could be improved. I like capitalism's soft power replacing the harsh government, but Libertarianism does so only for the rich or powerful. Get creative and structure it to ensure that everyone is included. For example, how can the marketplace replace the harsh legal system's current destruction of impoverished men, most of whom have done time? Design a system which doesn't destroy people. (Hint: Replace all punishment with rewards. Religious morality will have to go.)
Libertarianism does not favor the rich and powerful at all. If favors everyone equally: man, woman, hetero, gay, religious, atheist, rich, poor, whatever. Libertarians do not favor putting non-violent offenders in prison, nor making crimes out of activity that has no victim. As far as religion goes, we don't favor any government aid or attack of any religion. It has no place in government.
As far as what the system did for ALL people in that era... There was great prosperity before the federal reserve was created in 1913. The great depression followed that invention within 15 years. The wars we fought in were largely on our own soil. 1812, civil war, indian wars, etc.
Most violent crime wouldn't happen if everyone were rewarded for their every little soft action, as rich people are. Conversely, the rich would commit plenty of violence if they lived in the tense conditions as the poor ("only the strong survive"). You need to think like B.F. Skinner or something--to think more radically to see the big picture. Libertarianism won't be sustainable until it adds major new parts to get people's behavior to fit it. Libertarianism and capitalism could become interesting systems of behavior conditioning, but only if they aspired to replace the old behavior systems.
Your infatuation with the rich is silly. There's nothing wrong with behaviors under Libertarianism. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crime_in_the_United_States Crime in the United States has been recorded since colonization. Crime rates have varied over time, with a sharp rise after 1963... In the long term, violent crime in the United States has been in decline since colonial times... http://blogs.berkeley.edu/2010/06/16/a-crime-puzzle-violent-crime-declines-in-america/ https://books.google.com/books?id=B...CA#v=onepage&q=colonial violent crime&f=false (so as government has expanded, so have violent crimes)
Obama said n-----, the Confederate flag is on the way out, and those are the top two stories when the TPP is being voted on.
In Economics 101, the conservative professor teaches unbelieving freshmen that every act of behavior is economic. There is no free lunch or altruism. If you really want that to come true, you need to mold your incentive system around human behavior, and then behavior will wrap itself around a more natural economic system. You need to aspire to capitalism taking over all human endeavor. Despite what the textbook says, it doesn't come close now. Libertarianism has potential as an add-on, but Libertarians are too lazy to evolve it, so it remains just a goal. It will never work anywhere as it now stands.
