Your passive aggressive trolling isn't fooling anyone man. Execs don't know shit in this case and won't until at least July 1st.

I don't think SA was too happy about Splitter choking at the line against the Clippers.
Obviously they need to trade him in order to get LA. Hopefully no one wants him.

Boston might. If they can pair him with love.

If you're love, why would you go to Boston? That makes no sense. Either stay in Cleveland or go somewhere like LA. I could see him signing with the Lakers.

The assumption by many has always been Love would someday play for the Lakers. Now he's opted out. If I'm not mistaken, they have plenty of room to sign him. Stars aligning.

Because that's the only scenario where he'd be a #1 option on a contender

Is Splitter @at 9 million a smart move when they have 4 other bigs that they already have around 2 mil per year. Olynyk, Tyler Zeller, Sullinger, Faverani.....

Maybe, but I would save the cap space for someone better.

They're going to need to deal at least 2 of olynyk, zeller, or sully if they're going to get Love so dies it really matter? .... I don't think faverani is on the Celtics anymore.

I actually think Love would love to go to LA. He has said how much he loves that place. Has the opportunity to be alpha again, make even more money and get the fuck out of the cold

Why do they have to trade two of them? Playing time or lack of D?

Playing time. If I were getting Love I'd do a deal like this:

Boston: Splitter, future 2nd rounder from Philly

    San Antonio: Jared Sullinger

Philadelphia: Gerald Wallace, Kelly Olynyk, Spurs lottery protected 2017 pick

Actually D makes more sense to me. Those other guys are not good defensive players. Maybe as a PF but not as a center.
I can see where Splitter would help them. But to do it they have to take the bulk of the salary hit or SA would not do it.
Does Boston want to use that cap space up before they land the bigger fish in Love? How much cap space does Boston have?

This article is guessing about 22 mil. Not enough for Spitter, Love, Lopez and.....everyone else linked to Boston.

They have a lot of flexibility, especially if they can dump Gerald Wallace. Splitter makes under 10 million, that's not much for a defense first, champion nba center.

The Celtics have so many assets too so they can move picks and players around to make room for anyone in the NBA.
