I get that, Clyde completely turned his back on the organization when he left though. All the guys I listed, in addition to Porter, Duckworth and apparently even Rasheed Wallace returned to Portland after their playing careers were over.
If we were able to get the #2 and Lin, I'd be somewhat able to forgive him. I doubt it because Randle is a PF. Most likely, it would be at best, Randle and Lin for Aldridge. That would be unforgivable.
Both? lol I'd be happy with either one in a sign and trade but we could also get nothing as Lakers have the cap
Either the Lakers #2 or Randle at the least. That way they still have cap space to go after FA's to stay relevant with while having young talent to develop for the future.
If the Lakers entertain any offer, it would be Randle and Lin for Aldridge. They won't waste cap space. Then they can still offer #2 and whomever to Sac for Boogie. I think their goal is to get Boogie and Aldridge this summer. They are willing to give up whatever to make it happen. If you see the Lakers keep Randle and Lin out of the draft day trade for Boogie, then it could be a possibility.
Ken Berger saying Dallas and San Antontio are still his top 2 if he leaves... honestly I think we are seeing a case of everyone trying to scoop a story and nobody really knowing what the details are.
Spurs ain't so hunky dory either. Is it supposed to be LA and Kawhi? They don't have much youth there. He's setting himself up for a rebuild. Honestly, the Lakers have the best chance of putting an instant winner around him.
IF LMA must leave then I like the Spurs destination the most. We aren't getting Kawhi but I would so like to have both Danny Green and Patty Mills plus a pick. I not interested in Splitter personally but it may take another body to fill the salary gap.
