Damn, the rally! That kind of shit is important to sensitive little LaMarcus. Guess it all our fault.
I'd say a bust would be anything below an above average player at that position. Otherwise, a majority of top 5 picks are 'busts'.
I'm glad you're a mod; I remember wanting to be one when I was your age, but I'm old now and don't have the energy. You'll do well.
The timing was bad; at the time I couldn't devote hardly any time to the forum because family dynamics are important with a kiddo.
Wait, you guys are all getting this riled up over a Chris Broussard rumor? If it was a Wojnadoucheski rumor I'd understand, but c'mon, that "multiple sauces" meme exists for a reason.
I know it all has yet to happen but this is really too bad...It would have been great if LA was more honest to the Blazers last year, not from an organizational standpoint but from a fan standpoint. It would have been also great if Olshey was more attentive so he could have called BS on the statements LA made last summer and moved him before the deadline. This is something the General Manager I feel should have saw coming. But If LA was more honest, Portland could have made other arrangements and could have made a lil bit better deal than the scraps they may get in a sign and trade now. I gave him some credit to him yesterday in the Nic trade (Not that I thought it was a great deal) but you know this is just another mark against Olshey and what he has suppossedly accomplished since he has been here. So it's opened up cap space. Does he really think this is Los Angeles and it's going to acquire a bunch of FA's? He can't even keep his own. Why in the world would he expect or think he could recruit others? And I don't think he will get KLove (I don't believe he's ready to come home) Once LA leaves, since I don't expect too many fireworks this evening. Maybe we should put together another pro and con list on what this man has really accomplished since he has been here. I've said it once and I'll say it again, I feel he is overrated. And the loss of LA and Wes will cement it. Whether he wants to admit to it or not. I think they were in his plan.
We may not get jack shit for LMA, but IMO it is a very poor strategy to trade your best player. Sure it can work out sometimes, but for an overall strategy for a small market team, your franchise will never be stable that way. You have to try to keep your allstars to the bitter end. Because in the end, even though you may not get a big free agent with the cap space, you still will still probably get as much as you would in a trade. In theory it is worth the risk. I think Neil played it right.
I will say this, if LMA, Wes and Rolo are gone then its time stop fucking around. Even if it means a rebuild I want the commitment to go all in on a legit championship contender. Blazers fans deserve at least a trip to the conference finals.
