I'll say this: flying back home during the playoffs before the rest of the team isn't a real good look.
Frazier, as far as I know, is the only guy who is 100 percent playing. Freeman thinks Allen Crabbe will as well, but I'm not as sure. CJ and Meyers are going to practice with the team, but not play on the team. And I would expect that Noah Vonleh will now be on the team, which I'm pretty stoked for. No offense to Tim Frazier, but it was shaping up to be a bit of a boring roster, even by summer league standards.
Dorrell Wright, CJ and Damian seemed genuinely shocked that Batum was traded. Was there any hint that he was unhappy or that anybody else on the team was unhappy with him?
I'd take either Rondae Hollis-Jefferson or Justin Anderson is on the board. Not sure either will be, going to be close.
Did you get to see the draft workouts? Was there a lesser-known player who really surprised you (in a good way)?
Neil interviewed Vonleh last year when we had no pick -- is he viewed as a building block or a trading chip?
Yeah, with the draft today, there just wasn't any time to put a press conference together. I'm sure he'll talk about it tonight.
Not sure if you can address this or want to, but if LA really is looking to leave, what is his primary motivator? He seems to have so much here, a contending team, a rich owner, a good GM, a coach that plays a style that seems to work to his advantages, more guaranteed money than anyone else can offer, familiarity. That tells me one of the most likely reasons he'd want to leave, aside from wanting to get closer to home, is a personality conflict or some kind of philosophical issue with the organization.
