Even Kawhi's a pipedream. I'm secretly hoping for Jimmy Butler. A guy I really like but also don't see being available is Gordon Hayward. Guy's a baller, but he's not a true #1 like he's forced to be in UTA.
I know its wishful thinking but how nice would it be for Crabbe to take the next step like CJ and Meyers?
Define too pricey. We will have a shit load of money to spend if we lose LA. Maybe Justin Anderson? RHJ? plus a FA?
He is a free agent. ATL wants to keep him. Don't think they would entertain a sign and trade unless he forced his way specifically to POR which I don't see. I think he gets money that Batum got with his last contract. So yes, it depends on if we lose some big guns on if we could afford him.
Remember to look at it from the player's perspective - will free agents (who already don't sign with us) want to sign with a team that's rebuilding? Are there any trades that make sense that take the element of having to be chosen out of the equation?
Kawhi Leonard (restricted) Draymond Green (restricted) Khris Middleton (restricted) Tobias Harris (restricted) DeMarre Carroll (unrestricted) Luol Deng (player option) Paul Pierce (player option) Corey Brewer (player option) Jae Crowder (restricted) Mike Dunleavy (unrestricted) Tayshaun Prince (unrestricted) Alonzo Gee (unrestricted)
My first thought was that this was another Batum-bashing thread. But then I realized you meant the hole left after he was traded, so that's okay.
Millsap + Carroll to UTA Hayward + 12 + 15 to POR Aldridge to ATL (Mr. Sauces also mentioned ATL as one of the teams LA is targeting) Then put 23 + 15 + 12 + Vonleh to get Okafor or Neil's boy Kristaps. Can we work around the CBA mess to pull that off?
