Who the hell wouldn't want to play for Pop? Good for him if that's what he does.

I would just be happy with Aldridge for Green, cap space and future considerations. I wouldn't want Patty's contract.

That would give us another 5 mil of cap space to offer

Exactly. Aldridge for Green SHOULD give us enough to go after someone like Love.

I just have a soft spot for Patty. Not afraid to admit it. He immediately becomes the best backup PG we have had since... Greg Anthony?

We should just ask for future draft picks from the Spurs, because once Duncan/Ginobli/Parker retire and it's just LMA that team could hit the lotto hard!

Yes. Olshey has improved the bench each of the last 3 years and we had one of the best starting five's in the league. They were kicking ass last year until everyone got injured. We seem closer than if he went to a team that needed to severely gut itself in order to sign him, like the Spurs. Maybe after next year they'll have restocked, but if the question is who's closer right now if they sign him to me it's clearly Portland. If family is more important than winning or money, more power to him.

Keep in mind Green is also an UFA. Depending on who else is leaving, we could re-sign LMA and still have room for Green.

And I fully agree that Green would thrive here.

Shit changes in a year, get over it

One reason LeBron left Cleveland is KG told him he wished he wasn't so loyal to Minnesota and would have left earlier.

Aldridge has been here for a decade and the team has had minimal REAL success. Maybe it's time the Blazers try a different approach that won't have them getting destroyed in the 1st round of the playoffs again.

It's not a question of loyalty. It's a question of him lying and leaving us in a shit situation, when we could have easily made moves earlier to get something of value in return.

I feel ya, however the situation has really changed since he said all that. Once Wes went down the whole shebang began to crumble.

I don't see it as him lying. The team won a playoff series last year and the feels were all around the organization. I'm sure he meant what he said.

But now it's a year later and Batum is underwhelming at best and Wes ruptured his achilles. IMO the team as constructed had no chance at competing.

Shit changes in a year and he's about to be 30. The time for him to win is right now.

If he leaves, it's absolutely the Spurs and no one else.

They can't without Sign and Trade. Well they can but only if they force Duncan and Manu to retire.

Any team can free up cap space of a player wants to join. They could also do sign and trades. Sign and trade of Danny Green and future considerations would be enough

I'll only believe it when it's official. All you doom and gloom muthafuckas need to STOP using conjecture to formulate your opinions...
