How about using this thread for ideas on players to go after to fill out the roster?

I'll start with JR Smith. Free agent. Won't cost more then about MLE money. Can start or backup. Gets you a 6MOY candidate who can shoot the 3 ball.

If Lamarcus stays I like the idea of going hard after Monroe and Aminu. Either that or over pay for Demarre Carroll.

    FA small forwards:
    1) LeBron
    2) Kawhi Leonard
    3) Draymond Green
(I don't think any of those guys are gettable)
    4) Tobias Harris - 17.1 PPG/6.3 RPG
    5) DeMarre Carroll - 12.6 PPG / 5.3 RPG
    6) Luol Deng - 14.0 PPG / 5.2 RPG
    7) Paul Pierce - 11.9 PPG / 4.0 RPG
    8) Corey Brewer - 11.5 PPG / 3.7 RPG
    9) Jae Crowder - 7.7 PPG / 3.6 RPG
    10) Mike Dunleavy Jr. - 9.4 PPG / 3.9 RPG

Can take a chance on someone like Glenn Robinson III

DeMarre Carroll | Gerald Green | Jae Crowder | kJ McDaniels | Jared Dudley | Sergio Rodriguez

If LA bolts, kick the tires at least: Kevin Love | Draymond Green

I like the idea of saving enough room for next year to go after Durant.

If its just lillard, lma, 3rd max on the books, they might be able to squeeze another max in?

I think JR is a bit too streaky for my taste. But he is cheap. Don't know if attitude and character is as important now as it was a couple years ago

I actually think Deng would be a fine addition for a mid level type contract. Not MLE, but around 7-10 mil per

Deng for ten or less is a good deal.

I'd be happy if we got deng or carrol, lma, and Tyson Chandler to sign.

Danny Green would be a nice acquisition at the 2.

If we pulled off Green, Beverly or Sergio and Chandler offseason, it would be a home run off season. Not to mention Plumlee and Noah too?!?!

I would love to see us grab Boogie for cap space and potential.

Chandler is old. I don't want to waste cap space on a guy that's going to be out of the league in a few years. We have a real chance to add another piece to go with Dame and LA. Whether that's Jordan or whoever.

We don't really even need to sign two max guys. If we use our capspace right to sign a bunch of good role players.

    43 million

    20 million for LMA/Love
    10 million for Green/Matthews
    8 million for Caroll
    5 million for Beverly/Sergio

    Dame/Bev
    Green/CJ
    Carroll/Hendo
    LMA/Meyers
    Plumlee/Vonleh

    Solid.

Have you been following Olshey? He is like the composite of all the elements Olshey rejects.

I would be kind of interested in REALLY going after Draymond Green. The Warriors will almost certainly match, and keep us waiting to the last minute to do so, but we could make it a really nasty contract and hope that they blink, like the Knicks with Lin.

Also, Khris Middleton, although I worry that his gaudy DRPM numbers are a side-effect of Milwaukee's system, because a lot of Bucks score highly.

They want everything under the sun. Im not sure we have enough pieces, especially picks.
