Not a right shot, but adds size down the middle, improves faceoffs and allows Hayes to shift to his natural wing. Interesting thought, but I'd have to think we get priced out of this.

    Nash-Brassard-Zucc.
    Kreider-Stepan-Hayes
    Hagelin-Soderberg-Miller
    Lindberg-Moore-Fast

That's not awful but probably not realistic. I think Hayes stays at C and they look to upgrade at wing instead.

Out with one Carl....berg and maybe in with another. What they could've used was Buchnevich not staying in Russia again.

No. I like him but the Rangers have no money for a guy like that unless they dump 2-3 major contracts.

    He had 13g 31a, he'll likely command 3 - 4 mil

Apparently you don't watch the new NHL where UFA basically has no players. He'll get 5 years at 4.5 minimum unless his agent blows.

There is just nothing out there now Struds in UFA. These guys all get way more than they deserve. That's why I want to see the UFA lowered so players will be more tempted to turn down big money at 23-24 and think about waiting until they hit UFA.

COL just acquired Soderberg's UFA rights for a 6th round pick...O'Reilly going to be on the move on draft day? Rumors are he wants 8 years, 7.5m per on his next deal (1 yr left at 6m).

O'Reilly is not making himself a good name in the league. He's a greedy imbecile every time with his contract. I hope no team offers him more than 6 million and the league teaches him a lesson. He thinks he's a superstar and he's not. He's a good player. Every time I start to like him he goes and does crap like this.

COL signs Soderberg, 5 yrs 4.75m hit. Free agent forwards will not be cheap this year.

    Where does this leave O'Reilly?

I don't like that contract at all. Matter of fact seems like an awful contract to me. What are the Avs thinking? O'Reilly is smiling and can now justify his asking for the moon.

Terrible contract, Av's will trade O'Reilly for sure now. They probably would rather pay Soderberg 4.75 then O'Reilly 7. Both are awful deals regardless of term

Sather in a shocking move trades Nash for O'Reilly, signs him and moves Hayes to the wing. :smiley-smiley-049:
