"Plumlee is a starting-caliber center who gives Portland the kind of explosive pick-and-roll dive man that Damian Lillard hasn’t had as a partner. Aldridge prefers to pop for buttery jumpers, and Lopez is a slow-mo-style roll guy"

WTF? Lowe is saying the same thing Freeman did. The reason Damian never runs a pick n roll is because of his partners? Even though Rudy and Andre did with the same the prime partner?
Seems to me these guys pull these ideas out of their backside and never noticed the bounce passes off the knees of Aldridge, Lopes, and Leonard. Plumlee isn't going to get those either. It would be nice if he could but dang, a low past to a seven foot guy on the move requires a lot of motion down and back up, way up, sort of screws the timing even if he can catch the pass. I can still recall get the ream job from both Mr. Gill and Mr. Newell for making bounce passes to the big guys. I might be slow, needing two, but it stuck and I still cringe when I see it on the court.

    Do you mean Zach Lowe?

Why do you get the impression that he's a Blazer fan? I've never heard him say that. Are you thinking of that creepy looking bald guy who does True Hoop?

Resign Wes as a means to get Jimmy Butler next offseason. Draft a center or Jaylen Brown in the top 5, then sign Jimmy and another max guy.

Why not go after Durant instead?

Well obviously you try to get Durant but Butler would be so much more realistic.

I know Durant seems like the loyal type, but if OKC fails again, he's going to bolt. If other teams that are possibly more appealing like Lakers, NY, etc because of market are over cap then we have a great shot

Lakers and Knicks will bother have max cap space. They don't have anyone good to resign, plus Kobe comes off the books for the Lakers, and we'll have to compete with Washington, Dallas, and Miami as well.

Zach Lowe isn't a Blazer fan. He liked us last year before Mathews went down but the year before he wouldn't ever talk about us as even a top team in the west and he regularly dismissed the team in his podcasts with Bill Simmons an articles. He does love LA and rightfully so but if we didn't have the #1 FA in this years class I doubt he would be talking much about us at all.

I'd go for Hibbert if he didn't shoot such a low percentage inside. His inside shooting percentage is abysmal for a guy 7'2. And he's not any more fleet-a-foot than Lopez, so I'd rather retain Robin since he can finish. Hibbert would be ok, but not for 15 mil.

Durant would never come here we told him he's not good enough to be the first pick. He'd be damned to even pick up our call, besides let's worry about keeping our own star lol

If you think Durant is that weak minded to overlook who didn't pick him, even if they were his best chance to get a title, then you don't think to highly of him.

Odd, then, that the team who is confident that they can re-sign their big-name FA is the Nets.

Second best in the league last season, even with his head in the clouds.
