Oden or Durant? It's obviously between those two. I'm going to keep it breif since I'm at work, but I think that Durant is the best overal prospect. A wing player with his shooting abilities, size, and athleticism is rare to find. Oden has the potential to be the best center in the NBA, but I think that Durant is a one of a kind talent that can't be passed up if you have the chance to get him, no matter how many wing players you have.

I think you have got to go with Oden, and for one reason only - he's a center. Star centers come around VERY rarely nowadays, while star wing players are everywhere (not taking anything away from Durant, he's going to be SPECIAL, but you always take the center over any other position). Oden really has it all: he's 7'0'', in good shape, strong, athletic, excellent shot blocker with excellent timing, good rebounder, has a left hand, quick, hard worker, very smart kid with a good head on his shoulders. I mean Oden is really the total package. Oden is no doubt the best prospect.

Especially Oden because he is basically a chance at having one of the greatest legacy's in history. There has ALWAYS been a legendary, overwhelming center in basketball. With Shaq on the decline, this position is open. Obviously Greg Oden is looking like the next in this line.

Yeah I would have to choose Greg Oden. There's not much he can't do. Inrcedible shotblocker, great rebounder, good footwork, up and coming offensive game, great work ethic, easy to coach, very unselfish, very explosive, runs the floor really well, and he brings the biggest post presense we've seen since Shaq. This kid is going to be huge.

It's great that he's a center, but that's not the only reason that he is the top prospect. He has terrific post defense, and he has an improving offensive game. Overall, he's better than Durant anyway.

[IMG] Obviously that doesn't mean I meant he was the top prospect because he was a center only. It clearly meant that you always take a star center over a star wing (like I stated in the rest of the post).

It's Greg Oden hands down. I am the biggest Kevin Durant fan their is outside of Austin. I've been following him for three years even when he was not highly known on NBADraft.net. But getting back to Greg Oden... He's the best NBA prospect in college or high school because their is nobody like him. He's the best big man to come out of high school since Shaq. He has the ability to be a Bill Russell type defender, he's that good. There is no official measurement on him but he's around 7'0" 250 and when you see him obviously has the room to add 20 pounds. He doesn't have a real great offensive game but he was so dominate athleticly and size wise he never really had to develop a post game in high school. Like so many people who meet him mention, he has such a humble personality, I don't think you have to worry about him getting a big head or being a problem. His instincts are off the charts on defense, he's going to be an elite shotblocker, rebounder and probably a better one on one defender than Dwight Howard is now when he comes out. When you watch him run he's so much more fluid and quick off his feet, a lot more than Andrew Bynum and Bynum is a pretty good athlete for his size. In my opinion he's got David Robinson's style and smarts and Bill Russell's defensive attitude. I love Durant like I said before but I just think a guy like Oden will have a bigger impact on the game and is a much more rare prospect. I think Durant is special and would be the best prospect in most drafts but just not in this one. I mean who knows if Oden will even come out? I would say yes for a lot of people but Oden seems like a more down to earth guy that just might stay for the college experience.

7'0 280 pounds actually..I take Oden. Durant will be an incredible player, and he's already one of the best in America. Oden is just unstoppable, nobody can get in his way, no one can shoot over him, he's a MAN among men. In the NBA Oden can already dominante alot of centers out there, because of the weak Center position now a days. These next few years have some big time studs, and Durant would be likely be a #1 pick in previous drafts, but not now..I can't wait to see either player in the NBA some day, both will be NBA-ready rooks, and both will have great, long, successful careers.

Where did you get that from? I won't believe anything unless it's an official measurement.

I wouldn't say he's at a first-team defensive level yet, thats a little too much this early.

Pacers fan, I'm surprised you didn't say Al Horford. In the Al Horford thread, you said he will be a 5 time All-Star, and you compared him to Elton Brand and Jermaine O'Neal.

Top 5 ever, come on...you just jump to so many conclutions with these young guys. You already have them all mapped out on 50 to 100 greatest players lists...eh. Come on, it's too early.
